| Joanna Crain, President & CEO
Joanna has over 15 years of professional event management and destination logistics experience. As the Director of Advance and Protocol for both the United States Secretaries of Commerce and Homeland Security, she executed over 75 trips. Working at that level, things moved quickly and there was little room for error. One gaff could be fodder for the national or international news. Joanna became accustomed to the high-profile nature of the visits and at being armed with a Plan B and Plan C, especially in foreign countries, where things do not always go as planned or agreed upon in advance.
In addition to her public service work, Joanna has planned over 100 special events ranging from intimate fundraising events with the Speaker of the House to entire 5K races to gala function for more than 2,000 people.
Her experience will be evident in the smooth planning and execution of your trip to China.

Irena Desmond - Manager
Irena is an award winning architect from New Zealand who has found her calling using her exceptional project running abilities to create tailor made trips, events and conferences. During her career in architecture she discovered her interest in running projects through the managing of complex construction projects, which includes managing multiple factors and parties. It was a natural step into destination management, which also requires an eye for detail, and coming up with innovative solutions in order to execute successful projects.
Passionate about global opportunities for trade and business, Irena is the current Beijing Chapter Chairperson for the NZ KEA committee. Through this role she has helped organise numerous events in Beijing, some in conjunction with the New Zealand Embassy, which have ranged from ministerial breakfast events to large social networking functions.
After graduating from university, Irena spent a year in China travelling and working for an architecture firm. This laid the foundation of her interest in China, and years later in February 2009 she returned with her husband to build a life here. In her spare time she has been learning Mandarin and been an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

MJ Wang - Logistics Coordinator
MJ is part of the modern, young generation in China. He loves
sharing his Chinese culture but has great appreciation for the West. MJ’s easygoing
spirit, bright character, and humble disposition make him a client favorite. MJ
originally came to Beijing to work construction, but quickly learned how to
navigate the city and gain better employment. While working several different part-time
jobs, MJ studied at the International Business University of Beijing. He worked
as a receptionist in a western hotel, as a supervisor in western club and as a
staff member of the sales department of a furniture company. MJ enjoyed the
challenge that each job brought and improved his English along the way.
After graduating from university, MJ worked as a personal assistant
and driver for a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers China. That role
required superior organization skills in caring for the meeting schedules. Because
he had the dream to travel the world, MJ became a tour guide where he utilized
his skills to arrange travel schedules and help tourist feel comfortable in
Beijing. He is also looking forward to playing a role in an energetic
international scene.
